Self-adhesive wood effect vinyl for furniture: sizes and material
Each order contains one roll, always 40 cm wide. The length is your choice: 1 m, 2 m, 3 m or 5 m, that is about 0.4, 0.8, 1.2 or 2 m² of surface. The material is PVC and the pattern reproduces wood grain: it is a wood effect, not real wood. The supplier does not state the thickness and declares a tolerance of around 3% in the length of the roll. For a job that needs several rolls, it is best to order them together: the supplier warns that between one batch and another the colour may show slight differences.
How to apply the self-adhesive vinyl
Choose a smooth, clean and dry surface. Measure the piece and cut it a few centimetres larger with scissors or a craft knife; then peel off the protective paper slowly: the supplier recommends not removing it all at once. Lay the vinyl without pressing, so you can still reposition it, and when the position is right press from the centre towards the edges to push the air out. Bubbles can be pricked with a needle. An honest tip: on lacquered furniture or painted walls, a strong adhesive may take some paint with it when removed. Test first in a less visible corner.
Ten wood effect vinyl models
All ten models have the same width and the same lengths: only the colour changes. Model 1 is white, model 2 black. Model 3 is a warm brown, caramel-coloured; model 4 is a rustic brown with dark grain and knots; model 5 is a golden light wood tone; and model 6 a blonde light wood tone. Model 7 is a very pale wood tone, almost cream; model 8 a dark brown with dense grain; model 9 a reddish brown; and model 10 a beige that leans towards grey. The colours are those in each model’s photos and may look slightly different on screen.
Where to use self-adhesive wood effect vinyl for furniture
The supplier suggests it for living rooms, bedrooms, studies, kitchens and children's rooms. The photos show it on a wardrobe, a table, kitchen doors, a door and a bedside table. A supplier chart lists smooth, clean walls, tiles, windows, metal, wood and plastic as suitable; it should not be applied to dusty or broken surfaces, water-based paint that is still wet, or fabric. For kitchen worktops the supplier gives no data on heat and water: avoid areas near the hobs and where hot pans are placed.

Frequently asked questions
What length should I choose?
The roll is 40 cm wide, so you need to cover the width with strips side by side. For a board of 1.2 × 0.8 m you need two strips of 1.2 m, that is 2.4 m: choose the 3 m roll. For a door of 2 m × 0.8 m you need two strips of 2 m, that is 4 m: choose the 5 m roll. Add a few centimetres.
Are the colours the same as in the photos?
The photos are those of each model, but the colour on screen may differ from the real one. The supplier also warns that different batches may have slight colour differences: if you need several rolls of the same model, order them together. Model 1 is white and model 2 is black; the others are wood tones.
Can it be removed without leaving marks?
The supplier describes it as removable, but we cannot guarantee that it will come off without marks: this depends on the surface and the time. On lacquered furniture or painted walls, some paint may come off. During fitting you can reposition it as long as you do not press firmly: the supplier advises this.
On which surfaces should it not be applied?
According to a supplier chart, it should not be applied to dusty or broken surfaces, water-based paint that is still wet, or fabric. It works well on smooth, clean surfaces such as walls, tiles, glass, metal, wood and plastic. If the surface is rough or uneven, the adhesive holds less well and the result may not be even.
Can it be used on a kitchen worktop?
The supplier also suggests it for the kitchen, but gives no data on heat or water resistance, so we do not state anything on this. If you use it on a worktop or a door, avoid areas near the hobs and do not place hot pans on the vinyl. Dry splashes straight away so they do not stay in contact with the edge.
