Wood effect vinyl wrap: sizes and material
Each pack contains one roll, in the size you choose. The widths are two, 40 and 55 cm, and for each one you can choose 1, 2, 5 or 10 metres. The material stated by the supplier is vinyl (PVC), with an embossed surface: running your hand over it you feel the lines of the grain. This is the area one roll covers, not counting trimming:
- 40 cm wide: 0.40 m² at 1 m, 0.80 m² at 2 m, 2 m² at 5 m, 4 m² at 10 m
- 55 cm wide: 0.55 m² at 1 m, 1.10 m² at 2 m, 2.75 m² at 5 m, 5.5 m² at 10 m
How to fit the vinyl on tables and furniture
First, clean and degrease the surface and let it dry: the adhesive grips better on a smooth surface without dust. Cut the piece with scissors, leaving about 2.5 cm of margin on each side, as the supplier advises, so you can correct the position. Do not peel off all the backing at once: free a few centimetres, lay the edge down and unroll slowly, pressing with your hand or a soft spatula from the centre outwards to push out the air. At the end, trim the margin with a craft knife. An honest tip: on a painted wall, when you peel it off, the vinyl may take some paint with it.
Black embossed grain: the wood effect up close
The vinyl has one colour only, black, with a grain only slightly lighter that stands out when light hits it from the side. It is not real wood: it is textured vinyl that imitates the fibres of a dark wood. Seen from a distance, a covered surface looks black with faint grain; up close, the raised lines are visible. The shade may look different from one photo to another, because it depends on the light and the screen. If you need to cover a large surface, order all the metres at once: the supplier advises rolls from the same batch to avoid colour differences.
Where to use the wood effect vinyl
The photos show it on a sideboard, on the doors of a kitchen, on the top of a table and on a whole bedroom wall. It is a way to change the colour of a piece of furniture without repainting it: bedside tables, chests of drawers, shelves, flat doors, a headboard or the wall behind the bed. The supplier also recommends it for living rooms, offices, bars and restaurants. It works best on flat, smooth surfaces; mouldings, carved relief and edges need more patience and a few more cuts. On surfaces in daily use, such as the dining table, check the edges from time to time and press them down again if they lift.

Frequently asked questions
How much vinyl do I need for a table?
Measure the table top and add about 2.5 cm per side for trimming. A table top of 120 × 80 cm, for example, is covered by two strips of 55 cm wide and about 125 cm long: 2.5 metres in total, so the 55 × 500 cm roll is needed. Join the two strips following the grain, so the join is less visible.
Can it be applied to a wall?
Yes, the photos show it on a whole bedroom wall. You need a smooth, clean and dry wall: on a rough or crumbling plaster the adhesive grips less well. Start from the top with a straight strip, checked with a spirit level, and lay the following strips following the grain.
Can it be used in the kitchen?
On doors and units, yes, as in the photos. We advise against areas near the hobs, where heat reaches, and areas that are always wet, such as the edge of the sink: there, steam and splashes can lift the edges of any adhesive vinyl.
How do I clean it?
With a soft cloth that is only slightly damp and, if needed, a drop of neutral detergent; then dry it. Avoid abrasive scourers, solvents and harsh products, which can damage or mark the raised surface. On tables, dry spilt liquids straight away, especially along the edges and joins.
Are there other colours?
No, this vinyl is sold only in black with a wood grain. You can choose, however, from eight sizes: two widths, 40 and 55 cm, and four lengths, 1, 2, 5 and 10 metres. Each variant is one roll: for a large surface, a long roll is advisable, as it avoids differences of shade between batches.
When will my order arrive?
Delivery takes 7 to 15 business days after payment; you receive the tracking number by email. The maximum delivery time is 15 business days: if it is not met, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.
Can I return the product?
Yes: you have 30 days from delivery to return the unused product in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. All the details are in the return policy.
How can I pay?
You pay the full amount when you order, with the payment methods offered at checkout. We do not offer instalments or cash on delivery.
