Frosted window film: sizes and material
The sizes are 15 and are written as width × length, from 30 × 100 cm to 120 × 500 cm. The 30, 45 and 55 cm widths are available with lengths of 1, 2, 3 and 5 m; the 75, 90 and 120 cm widths only with 5 m. Some examples of area: 30 × 100 cm covers 0.30 m², 55 × 200 cm covers 1.10 m², 55 × 500 cm covers 2.75 m² and 120 × 500 cm covers 6 m².
The film is PVC, with a frosted surface, and has no glue. The supplier does not state the thickness. Measure the glass before ordering and choose a size a few centimetres larger: the edges are trimmed at the end.
Where to use frosted window film
The photos show it on kitchen and bathroom windows, on a sliding glass door and on the glass doors of a piece of furniture. It must be fitted to smooth, clean glass. It is a choice for making a pane less transparent without covering it completely: the bathroom window, the office glass door, the door of a sideboard.
The finish is a single one, frosted: there are no colours or patterns to choose, so the size is the only decision.
Frosted effect: what you see through the glass
The film blurs what is behind the glass. In the photo, a plant behind the glass changes appearance depending on its distance from the film: at 2.5 cm it looks like a blurred green stain; at 10 cm only a trace is left; at 20 cm it is hardly visible. It also works the other way round: an object or a person close to the glass is easier to recognise.
That is why it is not a complete blackout. If you need to fully hide a room, another product is required.
How to fit static window film
Static film is fitted with water. The supplier gives these steps: clean the glass, measure and cut the film 2-3 cm wider on each side, remove the transparent backing, prepare water with a little soap in a spray bottle and wet the glass and the back of the film. Then place the static face onto the glass, pass a squeegee to remove the water and bubbles, and trim the excess. To remove the backing, you can stick a piece of adhesive tape to a corner and pull slowly.
The supplier advises leaving 1-2 cm between the film and the frame, to avoid air bubbles. If the film lifts, check that you cleaned the glass well, removed the backing, trimmed the edges and removed the excess water.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the size for my window?
Measure the width and height of the glass and choose a size a few centimetres larger: the edges are trimmed after fitting. The 30, 45 and 55 cm widths have lengths of 1, 2, 3 and 5 m; the 75, 90 and 120 cm widths exist only with 5 m. For a pane wider than 120 cm, you need several strips placed side by side.
Is glue needed?
No. The film is static: you wet the glass and the back of the film with water and a little soap, place the static face onto the glass and pass a squeegee to remove the water and bubbles. Then trim the edges. A protective film on the back is removed before fitting.
Can you see through the film?
The glass looks frosted: shapes behind it look blurred but do not disappear. The closer an object is to the glass, the more it is recognised. It is not a complete blackout: if you need to fully block the view from outside or inside, another product is required.
Can it be reused?
As it has no glue, the film can be peeled off the glass. However, we have no data on how many times it can be reapplied or how it holds up after many months, so we do not promise a number of uses. If you remove it, store it flat and clean, without folding it.
Which glass can it be fitted to?
The supplier indicates smooth glass. Clean the surface well: dust and residue reduce adhesion. We have no instructions for rough or relief glass, or glass with treatments already applied: in those cases, test a small piece first.
When will my order arrive?
Delivery takes 7 to 15 business days after payment; you receive the tracking number by email. The maximum delivery time is 15 business days: if it is not met, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.
Can I return the product?
Yes: you have 30 days from delivery to return the unused product in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. All the details are in the return policy.
How can I pay?
You pay the full amount when you order, with the payment methods offered at checkout. We do not offer instalments or cash on delivery.
