Decorative tile stickers: size and material

Each set contains 10 square stickers of the same size, which you choose from 10 × 10, 15 × 15 and 20 × 20 cm. The material is PVC, with a matt film on the surface, and the declared thickness is about 0.3 mm. One set covers about 0.10 m² in the small size, 0.23 m² in the medium and 0.40 m² in the large, not counting joins. In the supplier's photos, the ten pieces in a set have different designs, with the same style and the same colours. The supplier advises buying all the sets you need at once: with a second order the colour could be slightly different.

How to fit tile stickers

The back is self-adhesive and covered by a protective paper: you remove it and stick the piece. The supplier warns that the surface must be flat, clean and free of dust and water, or the adhesive will grip less. Clean and dry well, draw a reference line with a spirit level and start from there. Press each sticker from the centre towards the edges with a soft cloth, and keep the same gap between one piece and the next. The supplier describes them as removable and reusable, but we cannot guarantee this: on a painted wall the adhesive may take some colour with it. Test first in a hidden corner.

There are 13 models and each set contains one model only. The photos are a reference: the colour on your screen may look a little different.

Where to use tile stickers

The supplier lists them for kitchen, living room, cupboards, furniture, tables, the wall behind the television, bedroom and bathroom. In the photos they are fitted as a kitchen splashback, on the doors of a unit, on a bathroom wall and on the risers of a staircase. You need flat surfaces: on rough render or deep joints the adhesive grips poorly and the defects show. On the floor, the adhesive has more to bear than on a wall. Near the hobs or water, the listing gives no specific guidance: leave a few centimetres of clearance.

How many sets do I need for a kitchen splashback?

Work out the area: a splashback 60 cm × 3 m measures 1.8 m². With the 20 × 20 cm stickers, which cover about 0.40 m² per set, you need 5 sets. With the 15 × 15 cm ones, about 0.225 m² per set, you need 8. These are theoretical figures, without joins or waste: add one set if you have to cut around sockets and hobs.

Are all ten stickers in a set the same?

No, according to the supplier's photos: each set brings together ten different designs of the same model, with the same style and colours. We cannot tell you in advance how the designs are distributed. If you want a more uniform look on the wall, mix the pieces from two sets of the same model before fitting them.

Can I use them on the floor?

The supplier also classes them as floor stickers, and in the photos they are fitted on a floor and on stairs. Foot traffic, however, puts more strain on the adhesive than a wall: choose a flat, clean and dry floor, check the edges over time and do not use them over deep joints. We cannot guarantee how long they will last.

Can they be removed and reused?

The supplier describes them as removable and reusable, but we cannot guarantee that they leave no marks or stick well again. This depends on the surface and the time elapsed. On painted walls some colour may come off: test in a hidden spot and peel slowly, calmly, holding the piece close to the wall.

Which surfaces are they applied to?

The supplier specifies a flat, clean surface free of dust and water. Suitable examples are smooth tiles, doors and smooth panels. On rough render, walls that crumble, deep joints or peeling paint, the adhesive grips poorly and the irregularities show through the adhesive.

When will my order arrive?
