Tile stickers with abstract motif: size and material

The pack contains 10 square stickers measuring 20 × 20 cm, all of the same model. The material is self-adhesive PVC: the supplier clarifies that they are not thick real tiles, but thin adhesives. The thickness is about 0.45 mm on one supplier listing and about 0.6 mm on another, so the two figures do not match.

Placed one beside another, the 10 pieces cover about 0.4 m². With 9 pieces, laid out in a 3 × 3 grid, you cover a 60 × 60 cm square. The measurements may vary slightly, because the supplier takes them by hand: allow for this when calculating spacing.

How to fit tile stickers

The supplier gives five steps: clean the surface, apply the adhesive at the chosen point while peeling the paper off the back slowly, use a plastic spatula to push out air bubbles, reposition if needed, and warm it with a hairdryer so it grips better. The surface must be clean, smooth, flat and dry.

Draw a horizontal line with a spirit level and start from the lowest row. To fit a piece to an edge or a socket, use a sharp cutter. Avoid brick walls, unpainted plasterboard, rough render, unsealed cement, chipboard, damaged paint and wallpaper. An honest tip: the adhesive is made to stay, and when removed it can take some paint with it.

Three models: cream, olive green and terracotta

Model 1 has cream arches on a white background: a light and discreet effect. Model 2 has light olive green arches, and Model 3 has terracotta arches, which are more intense. The photos of each variant show how the 10 pieces are laid out side by side and how the arches repeat from one piece to the next.

Each pack contains 10 pieces of the same model. For a larger surface, order more packs of the same model, all at once. The supplier warns that the real colour may differ a little from the photos, because of light and screen.

Where to use tile stickers

The photos show a kitchen splashback, the wall behind a washbasin and a bathroom with a mirror. The supplier suggests them for kitchen, bathroom, furniture and living room, always on smooth surfaces. You do not need to cover the whole wall: you can limit yourself to a strip behind the washbasin, above a worktop or at the back of a shelf, and order the packs you need for that area.

The supplier gives no verifiable data on heat or water resistance. For this reason, keep them a distance from the flames behind the hobs and, in the bathroom, avoid the direct jet of the shower. To clean them, use a soft cloth and a gentle detergent.

How many stickers do I need for a splashback?

Each sticker covers 0.04 m² and a pack of 10 pieces about 0.4 m². For a splashback of 60 × 60 cm, 9 pieces are enough. For 1 m² you need 25 pieces, that is 3 packs of the same model. Measure the surface and add a few pieces for cuts.

Can they be used in the bathroom or behind the hobs?

The supplier suggests them for kitchen and bathroom, but gives no verifiable data on heat or water resistance. Keep them a distance from the flames behind the hobs. In the bathroom, avoid the direct jet of the shower. Before covering a whole wall, test one piece.

Can they be removed and repositioned?

During fitting, yes: the supplier says to reposition the sticker if needed and to warm it with a hairdryer only at the end, so it grips better. Once it is stuck, removing it can take some paint with it or leave residue, depending on the surface.

Which surfaces should they not be applied to?

The supplier advises against brick walls, unpainted plasterboard, rough render, unsealed cement, chipboard, damaged paint, sanded surfaces and wallpaper. They work best on smooth, clean and dry surfaces, such as glass, metal or smooth walls. If in doubt about the surface, test one piece and check the result after a few hours.

How do I cut them to fit the edges?

With a sharp cutter and a metal ruler. Measure the space you want to cover, mark the cut on the piece and trim carefully. Keep a few spare pieces in case of mistakes, especially around sockets and switches, where cuts are harder.
