Self-adhesive ceiling moulding: size and material
The pack contains a single 5 m roll, in the colour you choose. The profile measures 8 mm wide and 3 mm thick. It is a fine decorative line, not a wide moulding to fit in the corner between the wall and the ceiling. The material is flexible PVC, supplied rolled up. With 5 m you can draw, for example, a 1.5 × 1 m rectangle or two vertical lines 2.5 m high. The supplier states it is for smooth surfaces: glass, wood, plastic, metal, marble and ceramic. These must be cleaned well and left to dry before fitting.
How to fit ceiling moulding with double-sided tape
Clean the surface, degrease it and wait until it is completely dry. Mark the line with a pencil and a spirit level, or with a taut string if you are working on the ceiling. Peel off the red film a few centimetres at a time and press the profile along the mark, without pulling it: a stretched PVC strip tends to shrink back later. For corners, cut the profile with a craft knife and join the two pieces. On the ceiling, work from a stable ladder and apply one short section at a time, pressing firmly for a good while. An honest tip: when you peel it off, the double-sided tape may take some paint with it.
Silver, black or glossy white: three glossy finishes
All three versions have the same size and differ only in colour, always with a glossy surface. The silver has a mirror effect similar to chrome-plated metal: it reflects light and, on a smooth wall in a single colour, it draws a bright line. Glossy black creates a strong contrast on light walls and ceilings and goes well with dark handles, lamps and frames. Glossy white is discreet: on a white ceiling it adds a fine relief without changing the colour. Remember that it is PVC, not metal: the silver effect comes from the surface finish. On a large design you can also alternate two colours, for example black on the walls and white on the ceiling.
Where to use flexible ceiling moulding: ceilings, walls and furniture
On the ceiling you can trace a rectangle around the lamp, or a frame a few centimetres in from the walls. On the walls it can separate two colours, frame the area behind the headboard or draw vertical stripes behind a piece of furniture. As the supplier also indicates it for glass, metal, ceramic and plastic, you can use it to edge a mirror, the smooth door of a wardrobe or a row of tiles. The specifications say it is not suitable for water: avoid showers and permanently wet areas. For a wide moulding between the wall and the ceiling you need a different profile: this one, at 8 mm, draws a line.

Frequently asked questions
How many metres do I need for a ceiling?
Measure the perimeter of your design. A 2 × 1.5 m rectangle around the lamp needs 7 metres, which means 2 rolls. A frame 20 cm from the walls in a 4 × 3 m room measures about 12.4 metres, so you need 3 rolls. Always allow a small margin for the corners and for any mistakes.
Can it be fitted to the ceiling?
The supplier indicates smooth surfaces without distinguishing between walls and ceilings, so the grip depends on the surface. On a smooth, well-bonded paint, double-sided tape sticks better than on a rough or crumbling plaster. On the ceiling, press each section firmly for a long time and, over the first few metres, check after a day that the ends have not lifted.
How do I make the corners?
For corners, cut the profile: make two 45° cuts with a craft knife and join the pieces, or cut straight and join the two sections. If you bend it sharply through 90 degrees, a profile 3 mm thick tends to lift at the corner and the line loses its precision.
Can it be removed without damaging the wall?
Double-sided tape is designed to stay put. When you remove the profile it may take some paint with it or leave residue, especially on walls painted recently. On glass, ceramic and metal, glue residue is easier to remove. If the design is temporary, test first on a hidden section.
