Bathroom tile stickers
Bathroom tile stickers cover old tiles without building work: you remove the film and press onto a clean surface. Here you will find 3D and matt stickers, hexagonal metal effect mosaics and vinyl tiles for the floor.
For the other rooms there are the stick on tiles for walls and floors and the kitchen tile stickers.
Frequently asked questions
How do you change bathroom tiles without removing them?
You can cover them instead of replacing them. Tile stickers are applied over each tile and change its colour and pattern; the 30 × 30 cm pieces and the self-adhesive mosaics also hide the old grout lines. In both cases the tiles underneath must be sound, firmly fixed and degreased: if they sound hollow when tapped or are cracked, they must be repaired before fitting.
Can you paint bathroom tiles?
Yes, with specific tile paints, but the job takes longer: you have to degrease, sand and prime them and paint in several coats, respecting the drying times between coats. With tile stickers you skip almost all of these steps: you clean, let dry and fit. On the other hand, paint adapts to any format with no cuts and no edges to finish.
Which finish is more suitable for the bathroom, gloss or matt?
In the bathroom, upkeep matters most. Gloss reflects the light and makes small rooms look more spacious, but it shows every drop, limescale ring and fingerprint. Matt hides water marks and small fitting imperfections better. In this collection there are matt PVC stickers in several formats and a matt green 3D model of 30 × 30 cm.
What are bathroom tile stickers made of?
It depends on the model. In this collection there are PVC stickers and tiles, vinyl tiles and a roll for the floor, and hexagonal aluminium mosaics with a metal effect. Among the PVC models, the marble effect floor tiles are thicker. For the other stickers, such as the 3D art ones or the stone mosaic effect, check the material on the product page.
Can you fit stick on tiles on a wall with mould or damp?
No. On a damp wall or one with mould stains the adhesive does not grip and the problem carries on under the covering, where you cannot see it. First find the cause, whether condensation, a leak or a thermal bridge, and have it solved. Then treat the wall, let it dry completely and check that the paint or the tiles are firmly fixed. Only then fit the stickers.
Can you remove stick on tiles without damaging the bathroom?
The beige model is described as removable; for the others the result depends a lot on the surface underneath. Start at a corner and pull slowly, keeping the piece close to the wall instead of tearing it towards you; if it resists, soften the glue with a hairdryer on low heat. From glazed tiles the residue comes off with warm water and mild soap, whereas some colour may come off paint.
