3D self-adhesive wall panel: size and material

Each sheet measures 30 × 30 cm and is 3 mm thick. The material is PVC with EVA; the surface is embossed, with raised hexagons and a bevelled edge. With one sheet you cover about 0.09 m², and with 10 sheets about 0.9 m², as the supplier states. The supplier does not say how many hexagons there are on one sheet and does not state the weight. For a surface of 2 m² you need about 23 sheets (2 ÷ 0.09), that is three packs of 10. If you order several packs, choose the same colour for all of them.

How to fit the 3D self-adhesive wall panel

The supplier gives four steps: clean the wall, remove the film from the back, stick the sheet on and press it firmly. In the photo two hands place the sheets on a white wall. You can cut them with scissors or a craft knife. The supplier advises pressing the joints firmly again the day after fitting; for the first few days there may be a slight smell of glue. To remove them, warm the adhesive with a hairdryer and pull slowly from the corners. A strong adhesive can take some paint with it: test a corner that is not very visible first.

Patina green or pink, 1 or 10 sheets

There are four variants: patina green or pink, and 1 sheet or 10 sheets. The patina green has blue-grey undertones. The pink ranges from light pink to a pale pink, and the hexagons have slightly different shades from one another, giving a tiled effect. In the photo you can see the pink. The images of 1 and 10 pieces show the same sheet: only the quantity changes. Ten sheets cover 0.9 m², the same as a splashback measuring 90 × 100 cm. Colour on screen may look a little different from the real colour.

Where to use the 3D wall panel

The supplier suggests it for the kitchen, bedroom and living room. The photos show a kitchen splashback in patina green and a living room wall in pink, used as a backdrop wall behind the sofa. Recommended surfaces: smooth painted walls, smooth ceramic, smooth glass, acrylic panels, metal and wood. Not recommended: unpainted plaster, rough textured plaster, brick, stone, stucco and greasy surfaces. Not suitable for the shower, outdoors or floors. Keep it 30 cm from hobs and fireplaces, as the supplier advises, and allow a few extra sheets for cuts around sockets and switches.

How many sheets do I need for a splashback?

One sheet covers about 0.09 m² and ten sheets about 0.9 m². A splashback measuring 60 × 90 cm, that is 0.54 m², needs 6 sheets. With 10 sheets you have room for cuts and waste. There is a joint line between one sheet and the next.

Which surfaces can it be stuck to?

The supplier recommends smooth painted walls, smooth ceramic, smooth glass, acrylic panels, metal and wood. It advises against unpainted plaster, rough plaster, brick, stone, stucco and greasy surfaces. It is not suitable for the shower, outdoors or floors. Clean and dry the surface well before sticking.

Can they be removed without damaging the wall?

The supplier advises warming the adhesive with a hairdryer and pulling slowly from the corners. With a strong adhesive there is still a risk of taking some paint off or leaving residue, especially on walls painted recently. Test a corner that is not very visible first.

Can they go near the hob?

The supplier advises keeping the sheets 30 cm from the hob and the fireplace. The sheet does not give a maximum temperature, so we cannot state a limit. Keep the 30 cm distance behind the hob and, if the space available is smaller, consider another material.

When will my order arrive?

Delivery takes 7 to 15 business days after payment; you receive the tracking number by email. The maximum delivery time is 15 business days: if it is not met, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.
