3D wall panels in foam: size and material
Each panel is a square of 70 × 70 cm with a thickness of 3.5 mm. The material is XPE foam, which the supplier describes as soft, with the relief pattern over the whole surface: four diamonds with a rosette in the centre and, in the spaces between one diamond and the next, triangles decorated with scroll motifs. A panel covers 0.49 m², the pack of 5 about 2.45 m² and the pack of 10 about 4.9 m². The supplier gives a tolerance of 1-3 cm in the dimensions, due to manual measuring: bear it in mind when joining the panels.
How to fit 3D wall panels, on the ceiling too
The back of each panel is covered by a paper that protects the adhesive layer. The supplier gives four steps: clean the surface well, peel off the paper, place the panel and press it gently, pushing the air bubbles outwards. The wall or the ceiling must be clean and dry, with no dust or flaking paint. Start from a corner or from a line drawn with a spirit level, so the rows stay straight; for the edges and around sockets you can use a sharp craft knife. On the ceiling it helps to work with two people. An honest tip: an adhesive can take some paint with it when peeled off.
Golden yellow or white: colours and play of light
The panel comes in two colours, golden yellow and white, with the same diamond pattern; the supplier’s sheet gives a single size for all the variants, 70 × 70 cm. Golden yellow is a light, matt gold shade, not a bright yellow or a shiny metal. From the photos, the surface looks different: more grainy in golden yellow, with a fine weave in the white.
The relief creates a play of light and shadow: with side light the diamonds stand out more, with front light the wall looks more even. The white blends in with a ceiling or a light wall and lets only the relief stand out. On screen the colour may look slightly different from the real one: compare the photo with the colours of the room.
Where to use 3D wall panels made of foam
In the photos the panels cover the whole wall behind a sofa and a ceiling. The supplier lists them for walls you want to highlight, such as the one behind the sofa or the television, and for the living room, bedroom, children’s room and stairs area. It also suggests them for the kitchen: keep them away from the hob and the sink there, because there is no verifiable data on how they behave with heat and water. They are decorative panels 3.5 mm thick: there is no verifiable data on their effect on noise or cold, so do not choose them for that.

Frequently asked questions
How many panels do I need for a wall?
Each panel covers 0.49 m². Multiply the width by the height of the wall and divide the result by 0.49: for a wall of 3 × 2.5 m, which is 7.5 m², you need 16 panels. Add one or two for cuts next to doors, sockets and corners.
Can they be fitted on the ceiling?
Yes, in the supplier’s photos they are also fitted on the ceiling. The surface must be clean, dry and have well-bonded paint, with no parts that flake. Press each panel over its whole surface and check the grip of the edges and corners. On the ceiling it helps to work with two people.
Can they be cut?
The supplier does not describe cutting. In general, a thin foam like this cuts with a sharp craft knife and a metal ruler: you will need it to adapt the last row to doors, windows, sockets and corners. Draw the line on the back and run the blade over it several times, without forcing it.
Can they be peeled off without damaging the wall?
The adhesive is designed to stay put. When a panel is peeled off it may take some paint with it or leave glue residue, especially on recently painted walls. If you plan to remove them in future, first do a test with a single panel in a spot that is hard to see and judge the result after a few days.
Do they reduce noise?
The supplier gives no verifiable acoustic measurements. These are decorative foam panels 3.5 mm thick: they should not be chosen to reduce the echo of a room or to cut the noise from neighbours or the street. For that you need specific materials, which are worth discussing with a specialist.
