How to put up nursery wall stickers

The stickers are self-adhesive: peel them off the sheet and apply them. The supplier says the wall must be flat, dry, clean and free of dust, and that rough walls will not do: the adhesive does not grip and the sticker falls off. As the vinyl is translucent, apply it to a white wall; otherwise the colour behind shows through. To arrange them neatly, wipe with a dry cloth, mark the position with a pencil or masking tape, and peel each piece following the edge of the design. Fix one corner first and press slowly towards the opposite side to avoid bubbles. An honest tip: when you peel it off, a sticker may take some paint with it.

The design is a group of animals with balloons and clouds, with a soft, watercolour-style look: a lion with a crown, a fox, a rabbit, two bears and a little bird. Where to apply nursery wall stickers

They are designed for the nursery, but the supplier also lists them for tiles, furniture, fridges and windows, as well as walls. In the photos they are on a shelf, next to a play corner and behind shelves with wooden toys. On the wall, choose a clear, smooth stretch of white; on tiles, check that the surface is flat, because deep grout lines reduce the contact area. Before you fix the pieces, rest them on the wall with masking tape, so you can see the arrangement and adjust the spacing.

The supplier advises against it: the wall must be flat, dry, clean and free of dust, or the adhesive will fall off. Rough or embossed render reduces the contact area. If in doubt, test a small piece in a hidden spot and check after a few days.

Can they be removed and repositioned?

The supplier presents them as self-adhesive, with no instructions for peeling them off. Once fixed, the adhesive may take some paint with it when removed, especially on walls painted recently. To move a piece, peel it off straight away, carefully, and do not repeat the process several times.
