The set contains 1 moon, 20 cm in diameter, and 103 stars in three sizes: 21 at 3 cm, 33 at 2 cm and 49 at 1.5 cm. That makes 104 pieces in total. The material is PVC and each piece is self-adhesive. The supplier does not state the thickness, so we have not included it.

The moon and stars are stuck on one by one, so there is no fixed layout: you can group the stars around the moon or spread them across a wall or a ceiling. Before sticking them, position them with masking tape or rest them lightly to see the arrangement.

How to put up the wall stickers

The stickers peel off the sheet and can be stuck wherever you like. The supplier warns that the surface must be smooth and clean, free of dirt and bumps, or the stickers may fall off. Clean and dry the wall before you start, and press each piece with your finger for a few seconds.

The supplier advises against sticking the stars on a window, and recommends a dark wall or ceiling instead. A candid tip: a sticker can take some paint off when you remove it, especially from walls painted recently. Test first with one star in a discreet spot.

How the glow in the dark effect works

In daylight the stars look pale yellow and the moon light grey, with craters. According to the supplier, to glow in the dark they must absorb sunlight or light from an LED lamp for at least 30 minutes; then, when you turn off the lights, they give off a soft green light. The more light they absorb, the longer the effect lasts.

It is a faint light: you need a really dark room to see it, and the brightness fades over time, so it does not replace a night light. The night photos are supplier images: the actual result depends on the light absorbed and how dark the room is.

Where to stick the moon and glow in the dark stars

The photos show a light blue wall with a small table and a chair, a pink wall above a sofa, and a dark room with the sofa. You can use them in a child’s room, above a bed, in a reading corner or on the ceiling, as long as the surface is smooth and clean.

The 1.5 cm stars are very small: if there are young children at home, keep them out of reach until they are stuck, and check from time to time that they have not come loose.

How long do they need to charge before they glow?

The supplier recommends at least 30 minutes of exposure to sunlight or an LED lamp, then switching off all the lights. The more light they absorb, the longer the effect lasts. It is a faint light: you only see it well in a truly dark room, and it does not replace a night light.

Do they glow all night?

We cannot promise a duration. The brightness depends on the light they have absorbed and fades over time: after a few hours you see much less. If you need light all night, use a night light and treat the stickers as a decorative feature.

Can I stick them on the window?

The supplier does not recommend it: a dark wall or ceiling is better, where the effect shows more. In any case, the surface must be smooth, clean and dry. On a rough or textured wall the stickers hold less well and may fall off.

Do they come off without leaving marks?

We cannot guarantee it. The adhesive may take some paint off or leave residue, depending on the surface and how long they have been up. To get an idea of the result, stick one star in a discreet spot and remove it after a few days.
