Marble effect vinyl wrap in black and white: sizes and material
Each roll measures 200 cm long by 40 cm wide and covers 0.8 m². The material is PVC and the surface is glossy: in the photos you can see light reflections on both the black and the white. The pattern is a print that imitates marble veins; it is not stone. The supplier does not state the thickness and warns that the dimensions may have a margin of error of 2-3 cm.
To work out how many rolls you need, start from the surface area. A worktop of 60 × 200 cm needs two strips side by side, that is two rolls. One roll alone covers, for example, a worktop of 40 × 200 cm or a shorter shelf. Order a few centimetres extra for trimming.
How to apply the vinyl wrap to a worktop
The supplier shows six steps: measure and cut, remove the protective film and place, smooth with a cloth, align the strips and trim the excess. The vinyl is applied to smooth surfaces; the instructions exclude walls that crumble, that lose plaster or that are damaged.
Before you start, clean and degrease the surface and dry it well. Peel the backing off slowly and press from the centre towards the edges to push the bubbles out. An honest tip: a strong adhesive may take some paint with it when removed. As a precaution, do not place very hot pans directly on the vinyl.
Black or white: glossy marble effect vinyl
Black has a dark background with fine light veins, which in the photos contrast strongly with the glossy surface. White has a light background with softer grey veins and gives the look of a brighter worktop. In both cases the pattern changes from one point of the roll to another, as on a natural stone worktop.
The real tone may differ slightly from the photos because of light and screens. If you join two strips, check that the veins meet without obvious breaks: the join is still visible up close. For a uniform result, choose one colour for the whole surface.
Where to use marble effect vinyl
The photos show the vinyl on a black kitchen worktop, on a white worktop with a sink and on the worktop of a bathroom unit. It is a way to change the look of a worktop without replacing it, as long as the surface is smooth and in good condition.
Use it on worktops, shelves and units that you can clean and degrease before fitting. It is not suitable for rough or damaged surfaces. If the surface is very large, remember that the roll is 40 cm wide and several strips will be needed.

How many rolls do I need for a kitchen worktop?
Each roll covers 0.8 m² and is 40 cm wide. For a worktop of 60 × 200 cm you need two rolls, because you have to join two strips. Allow a few extra centimetres for trimming the edges and order all the rolls at once, in the same colour.
Can you see the join between two strips?
Up close, yes. The marbled pattern changes along the roll, and the veins of two strips side by side do not always match. To reduce the effect, align the edges well and join the strips without gaps. If you want to avoid a join, the surface must be coverable with a single strip.
Can it be applied to a rough or damaged surface?
The supplier's instructions specify smooth surfaces and exclude walls that crumble or are damaged. On a rough or relief surface the adhesive holds less well and the relief may show through the vinyl. If in doubt, test first in a hidden spot.
Can it be removed without damaging the worktop?
We cannot guarantee it. A strong adhesive may take some paint with it or leave residue, especially on recently painted surfaces. If you need to remove it, start from a corner and pull slowly. If the worktop is valuable, test first in a hidden spot.
Do the dimensions and colour match the photos?
The supplier notes a margin of error of 2-3 cm in the dimensions, because they are taken by hand, and a slight colour difference caused by light and screens. Measure the worktop precisely and leave a little margin. If the tone is important to you, write to us before ordering.
When will my order arrive?
