Stack of 12 light grey hexagon panels, Model 4

Hexagon acoustic panel: dimensions and material

In each pack there are 12 identical panels, of the model and size you choose. The small hexagon measures 30 cm point to point and 26 cm side to side, with a side of 15 cm. The large one measures 36 × 31 cm, with a side of 18 cm. Both are 9 mm thick and the edge is bevelled at 45 degrees. The material is polyester fibre (PET). The supplier gives a tolerance of 1-2 mm on the dimensions.

Placed side by side, 12 small hexagons cover about 0.70 m² of wall, and 12 large ones about 1 m²: this is a calculation from the dimensions, with no gaps between panels. For larger areas, you can order more packs.

How to fit self-adhesive hexagon acoustic panels

The back of each panel has an adhesive layer protected by a film. The supplier gives two steps: peel off the film, align the panel in the chosen position and press it firmly against the wall. One person can fit them alone.

Before you start, clean and dry the wall: the adhesive grips better on smooth surfaces, free of dust and damp. To keep the hexagons aligned, draw a pencil line with a spirit level and start from the centre of the layout. An honest tip: a strong adhesive can take some paint off when you peel it away. If you plan to move them, stick them first to a thin board and fix that board to the wall.

Bedroom with a wall of grey, white and black hexagon panels above the bed headboard

Twenty models and two sizes: how to choose

Each model has its own photo, which shows a stack of 12 hexagons in that colour. The shades are white, light grey, beige, yellow, orange, terracotta, green, light blue, slate grey and black. The supplier warns that the colour may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Each pack contains 12 panels of the same model: for a multi-colour arrangement you need several packs, one per colour. The size also changes the look: small hexagons make a denser mosaic, and large ones cover more wall with the same number of pieces.

Where to use the hexagon acoustic panels

In a room with many hard surfaces, such as floors, glass and smooth walls, voices bounce back and create echo. Polyester fibre panels absorb part of those reflections, which reduces echo and reverberation inside the room: that is why they are placed behind a desk, above the bed headboard or behind the sofa. They are also a decorative element, and with several colours you can make a geometric design like the one in the bedroom photo.

One important point: an acoustic panel improves the acoustics inside the room, but it does not stop noise from the neighbours or from the street. If your problem is noise coming from outside, other materials and building work are needed.

Frequently asked questions

How many panels do I need for a wall?

A small hexagon covers about 0.058 m² and a large one about 0.084 m². For an arrangement of 1.5 m², you need about 26 small hexagons, that is 3 packs, or about 18 large ones, that is 2 packs. You do not have to cover the whole wall: you can concentrate the panels only where you want them.

Can they be removed without damaging the wall?

The adhesive is designed to stay put. When you peel it off, it may take some paint with it or leave residue, especially on walls painted recently. If you want to be able to move them, stick them to a thin board and hang that board on the wall. Before covering the whole wall, test one panel in an inconspicuous spot.

Do they stop the neighbours' noise?

No. They are acoustic panels: they reduce echo inside the room, but they do not stop noise coming from outside, because that noise passes through walls, floors and windows. To stop it on a wall you need other materials and building work, such as heavy layers and an air cavity.

What is the difference between the large and small hexagons?

Only the size: the small ones measure 30 × 26 cm and the large ones 36 × 31 cm, both 9 mm thick. In both versions the pack contains 12 panels. With the large hexagons you cover about 1 m², and with the small ones about 0.70 m².

Are the colours the same as in the photos?

They look very similar, but screens change tones, and the supplier warns that there may be a slight colour difference between batches. If you need several packs of the same model, order them together: that way they are more likely to come from the same batch.

When will my order arrive?

Delivery takes 7 to 15 business days after payment; you receive the tracking number by email. The maximum delivery time is 15 business days: if it is not met, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.

Can I return the product?

Yes: you have 30 days from delivery to return the unused product in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. All the details are in the return policy.
