3D wall panel in wood mosaic: dimensions and material
Each unit is a square panel of about 30 × 30 cm, made of 6 rows of 6 small squares: 36 pieces of about 5 cm each side. The pieces protrude unevenly, so the panel has an irregular relief. The supplier states a thickness of about 6 to 10 mm and a weight of about 0.5 kg. The material is wood, according to the supplier. On the back, the pieces are held together by a nylon mesh, which makes the panel a single piece to fit. One panel covers about 0.09 m²: a block of 3 panels by 4, that is 90 × 120 cm, needs 12 and covers 1.08 m².
How to mount the wood mosaic on the wall
The supplier describes a two-step fitting: first stick the panel to the wall with wood glue or PVA glue, then fix it with a brad nailer. The brads hold the panel while the glue dries. Some general tips:
- the wall must be flat, clean and dry;
- draw a horizontal line with a spirit level and start from the bottom row;
- before gluing, lay the panels on the floor and turn them to alternate the wood shades;
- to fit a panel to the edges, cut the mesh on the back between one row of squares and the next.
Square tiles in relief: the effect on the wall
When several panels are placed side by side, the squares form a continuous pattern: in the photo of the full wall, the joint between one panel and the next is barely visible. Each piece protrudes differently, so light from above or from the side creates small irregular shadows that add depth to the wall. The wood has natural grain and shades, from warm brown to dark brown, and two panels may differ slightly from each other. The tone also changes in the photos: loose panels look lighter and warmer, whole walls darker, because of the light. The model is only one, in dark walnut tone.
Where to use the 3D wall panel: living room, TV wall and commercial premises
The supplier suggests it for the living room, the wall behind the TV, shops, hotels and commercial premises. At home it looks good on a defined surface: behind the TV, behind the bed headboard, in an alcove or on a column. With the 30 × 30 cm format you can also create small arrangements, for example a horizontal strip of three or four panels. Wood suits dry environments best: avoid areas in contact with water or steam, such as the shower or the wall behind the hob. One clarification: the supplier does not present it as an acoustic panel, so we do not suggest it for reducing echo or noise.

Frequently asked questions
How many panels do I need for a wall?
One panel covers about 0.09 m². For a block behind the TV measuring 1.5 m wide and 1.2 m high, you need 5 panels across and 4 up: 20 panels in total, for 1.8 m². Add one or two if you have to cut around edges, sockets or corners.
Can it be cut?
Yes. The easiest way is to cut the mesh on the back with a craft knife, between one row of squares and the next: this removes whole rows without sawing the wood. If you need to shorten the squares themselves, use a fine-toothed saw and finish the edge with sandpaper.
Is it suitable for any wall?
It needs a flat, solid and dry wall. The method the supplier gives is wood glue or PVA glue, with brads from the nailer. For plasterboard, crumbling walls or uneven surfaces, ask a professional to advise on the best fixing, bearing in mind that each panel weighs about 0.5 kg.
Is it an acoustic panel?
The supplier does not present it as an acoustic product and gives no absorption data, so we offer it as a decorative covering. Remember the difference: an acoustic panel reduces echo inside the room, but to stop noise coming from outside you need other materials. This mosaic is not intended for either purpose.
Why do the photos show a whole wall?
The wall photos show dozens of panels placed side by side, so you can see the final effect. Each unit is a single 30 × 30 cm panel: to get a surface like that, work out how many panels you need and order them together, in the right quantity.
