Adhesive PVC vinyl with a glossy finish and a fine grain that in the photos is reminiscent of a pearl, sold by the roll in three colours: pink, black and white. The width is 30, 40, 50 or 55 cm and the length 1, 2, 3 or 5 m, depending on the roll you choose. The back is adhesive, protected by a paper: you peel it off and apply the vinyl to a smooth, clean, dry surface. It cuts with scissors.

Glossy pearl effect furniture vinyl wrap: size and material
Each order contains a roll of PVC vinyl, in the width and length you choose. The widths are 30, 40, 50 and 55 cm. The lengths change with the width: with 30 cm there are 1, 3 and 5 m; with 40 cm, 1, 2, 3 and 5 m; with 50 cm, 1, 3 and 5 m; with 55 cm, 2, 3 and 5 m. The largest roll, 55 cm by 5 m, covers 2.75 m², while the 30 cm by 1 m roll covers 0.30 m². For the 55 cm × 5 m roll the supplier gives a tolerance of 3% in the length. The supplier does not state the thickness. The paper on the back has a printed grid, which can be seen in the photos.
How to apply furniture vinyl wrap
The supplier advises not to pull off the paper all at once. Peel back a corner, without touching the adhesive, line up the vinyl and apply it slowly and evenly, peeling off the paper bit by bit; meanwhile, smooth out the bubbles with a squeegee. If you place the vinyl without pressing, you can still lift it and reposition it; when the position is right, press, pushing the air out. A stubborn bubble can be pricked with a needle. The surface must be smooth, clean and dry. The supplier’s photos advise against dusty or broken surfaces, surfaces with still-wet emulsion paint, or fabric. A strong adhesive can take some paint with it when peeled off.
Pink, black or white: the three glossy colours
White is glossy and even; pink has a soft shade with a shiny grain that can be seen up close; black is deep and glossy. The glossy finish highlights every flaw in the surface underneath: a wall with raised areas or an old door with deep scratches will still show after fitting. So it is worth levelling and cleaning well before applying. The real colour may be slightly different from the photos, because of the light and your screen. For an even effect, take everything from the same roll.
Where to use glossy furniture vinyl wrap
The supplier lists it for walls, furniture, worktops, splashbacks, shelves and bedside tables. In the photos you can see kitchen doors, a wardrobe, a table and a sideboard covered with it. You can use it to renew a piece of furniture without replacing it. The supplier gives no data on how it behaves with heat: on the worktop do not put hot pans on it and keep the vinyl away from flames and the hob. Where steam or strong heat reaches, choose another option.

What width and length should I choose for a furniture door?
Measure the door and choose a roll with a width equal to or greater than the shorter side, with a couple of centimetres of margin. For a door 40 cm wide and 70 cm high, choose a roll 50 cm wide and 1 m long. If the door is wider than 55 cm, you need two strips, which are fitted together with care.
How do I avoid air bubbles?
Do not peel off all the paper at once: peel it off bit by bit as you apply the vinyl and smooth the air out with a squeegee from the centre towards the edges. If a bubble remains, the supplier advises pricking it with a needle. Work on a smooth, clean, dry surface.
Can it be removed without damaging the furniture?
The supplier describes it as removable, but does not say on which surfaces or after how long. As with any adhesive, it may take some paint with it or leave residue when peeled off. If you want to be able to remove it in future, first do a test in a hidden spot.
Can I cover the kitchen worktop?
The supplier lists it for worktops too. But it gives no data on how it behaves with heat, so do not put hot pans on it and use trivets. Keep the vinyl away from the hob and from flames. Cut with a craft knife and a ruler to trim the edges.
Do imperfections show under the vinyl?
Yes, it can happen, because the finish is glossy and reflects the light: deep scratches, holes and raised areas in the surface underneath still show after fitting. Before applying, clean, dry and level the surface, for example by filling the most obvious flaws with filler, to get a more even result.
