Peel and stick wall panel: size and material
Each variant is a single roll, 40 cm wide, in the length you choose. The 3-metre roll covers 1.2 m², the 5-metre roll 2 m² and the 10-metre roll 4 m², before offcuts. The supplier gives PVC as the material, with a grey, grainy back that can be seen on the edge of the roll; the stated thickness is 2 mm. It is not a rigid panel but a flexible covering, which unrolls and is cut like an adhesive wallpaper. On a 2.7 m high wall, one 10 m roll gives three full strips, that is 1.2 m of wall width.
How to fit the peel and stick wood effect panel
Before you fit it, remove dust from the wall well, as the supplier recommends: the adhesive grips on a clean, smooth and dry surface. The supplier lists plain walls, tiles, painted walls and wooden panels. Draw a vertical line with a spirit level and start from a corner. Cut the first strip a few centimetres longer at top and bottom, lay it on the line and press with a soft spatula from the centre towards the edges, to push out air. Join the next strip so the slats continue evenly, and trim the excess with a craft knife. Remember that, if you remove it, the adhesive can take some paint with it.
Five wood effect models with slats
The pattern is the same in all models: vertical slats that imitate wood, separated by dark lines. The finish changes. The photos show a warm walnut tone, a light oak tone, a dove grey, a grey, an anthracite and a light tone with black lines, while there are five models available. The model number does not indicate the finish: if you are looking for a particular shade, write to us before you order and we will confirm which model matches. The walnut and light oak tones warm up a room; the grey and anthracite create a strong backdrop behind a sofa or a light bed. It is not real wood: it is PVC that reproduces its look.
Where to use the wood effect adhesive panels
In the photos the covering is on the wall behind a sofa, behind a bed, the TV wall, a dining room and around a door frame. The supplier lists it for living rooms, bedrooms, children's rooms, studies and kitchens, as well as offices and shops. You can cover a whole wall or just a strip, for example behind the headboard or around the TV. It is a decorative covering: it changes how the wall looks but adds no insulation. In the kitchen and bathroom keep it away from hobs, sinks and showers, where heat, steam and splashes can lift the edges of any adhesive. It must be fitted on a sound surface, not on flaking walls or ones with mould.

Frequently asked questions
How many rolls do I need for a wall?
Divide the width of the wall by 40 cm to find the number of strips, then work out how many full strips come from each roll. For a wall 3 m wide and 2.7 m high you need 8 strips of about 2.75 m: a 10 m roll gives 3 and a 3 m roll gives 1. So two 10 m rolls and two 3 m rolls are enough.
Is it real wood?
No. It is a PVC covering with a pattern that imitates wooden slats separated by dark lines. From a distance the wall looks like a slatted covering; up close you can see it is a single flexible sheet. In return, it is cut with a craft knife and fitted without screws, glue or carpentry tools.
Can it be removed without damaging the wall?
The adhesive is made to stay put. When you remove it, it may take some paint or leave residue, especially on walls painted recently or with weak adhesion. If you rent or plan to change the furniture, test a corner that is not very visible before covering the whole wall.
How do I work around sockets and switches?
Switch off the power and remove the plate. Lay the strip over the box, make a cross cut with the craft knife in the centre, then trim the edge following the outline of the box. Refit the plate, which covers the cut. Use a new blade: it cuts the PVC cleanly, without tearing the edges.
