Furniture vinyl wrap terrazzo effect: sizes and material
Each roll is 40 cm wide and 1, 2, 3 or 5 metres long, depending on the variant. The covered surface is 0.4 m² per metre: 0.4 m² with 1 m, 0.8 m² with 2 m, 1.2 m² with 3 m and 2 m² with 5 m. The material is vinyl (PVC); the supplier does not state the thickness.
The 40 cm width counts in the calculation: a worktop 60 cm deep needs two strips side by side, for example 2.4 m of vinyl for a worktop 1.2 m long. The supplier advises cutting the vinyl 10-15 mm larger than the surface you are covering and trimming at the end.
How to apply the furniture vinyl wrap
The supplier gives four steps. Remove dust and dirt from the surface, place the vinyl and cut it 10-15 mm larger. To separate the protective paper, stick adhesive tape to both edges of the sheet and pull in opposite directions. Then press the vinyl from the centre outwards, peeling off the paper slowly. If air bubbles remain, the supplier advises using a needle or the tip of a knife.
The paper on the back has a grid that helps you cut straight. An honest tip: a strong adhesive may take some paint with it when removed, especially from lacquered furniture. Test in a less visible spot.
White and beige terrazzo: the effect
White terrazzo has a light base with grey and black dots; beige terrazzo has a cream base with ochre and grey flecks. In both colours the surface is glossy and reflects light, as the photos show. It is a printed effect: it looks like terrazzo, but it is not stone or granite.
White gives a bright, sober surface suited to light kitchens; beige is warmer and goes well with wooden furniture. The real colours may differ slightly from the photos.
Where to use terrazzo effect vinyl for worktops
The supplier lists work surfaces, sideboards, tables, drawers, smooth walls, furniture, glass, chests of drawers and shelves. The photos show it on kitchen worktops, on an island, on the doors of a sideboard, on the shelves of a unit and as a splashback.
The supplier gives no data on how the vinyl behaves with heat or water: on a kitchen worktop, use a trivet and dry spills straight away, especially near the hobs and the sink. On a sideboard or drawer, clean the surface well and, if you can, remove handles and hinges so the edges finish neatly.

Frequently asked questions
How much vinyl do I need for my worktop?
The vinyl is 40 cm wide, so work out how many strips you need. A worktop 60 cm deep needs two strips side by side: if it is 2 m long, you need 4 m plus a margin. Remember to cut 10-15 mm extra on each side, as the supplier advises, and trim at the end.
Can I use it near the hobs or the sink?
The supplier gives no data on heat and water, so we cannot promise anything. Near the hobs do not place hot pans directly on the vinyl and use a trivet. Near the sink, dry spills straight away. For heavy use, consider a material designed for that spot.
Can it be removed without leaving residue?
The supplier does not provide removal guidance. A strong adhesive may take some paint with it or leave marks, especially on lacquered furniture or recently painted walls. Before covering a whole door, test in a less visible spot.
Which surfaces is it suitable for?
The supplier lists smooth, clean walls, ceramic tiles, glass, smooth wallpaper, metal, wood and plastic as suitable. It is not suitable for surfaces with dust or ash, broken surfaces, water-based paint that is not yet dry, or fabric. The surface must be clean and dry.
What is the difference between white and beige?
White terrazzo has a light base with grey and black dots. Beige terrazzo has a cream base with ochre and grey flecks, and is warmer. The finish is glossy in both colours. The photos are indicative: colours may differ slightly from reality.
