Self-adhesive wallpaper: size and material
The roll is 45 cm wide and you choose it 3 or 5 metres long: this covers about 1.35 m² or 2.25 m², without counting offcuts. The material is PVC (vinyl) and the back is self-adhesive. The supplier's listing also refers to wallpaper in one place, but the text describes a PVC vinyl, so that is how we list it. The thickness is not stated.
For a wall 2.5 m high you need strips of 2.5 m: one 5 m roll gives two and covers a width of about 90 cm. With three 5 m rolls you cover about 2.7 m of width. Add a few centimetres for cutting and for lining up the brick pattern between one strip and the next.
How to fit the self-adhesive wallpaper
Fitting follows the steps given by the supplier: measure and cut, peel off the protective paper and stick, smooth with your hand, line up the strips and trim the excess. The surface must be smooth, clean and dry. The supplier advises against rough or uneven walls, damp walls, walls with holes or with bumps.
Start in a corner and use a spirit level for the first strip, so the rows of bricks run level. Peel the paper off gradually and press from the centre towards the edges to push the air out. An honest tip: the adhesive is made to stay, and when you take it off it may remove some paint, especially from walls painted recently.
Red and brown bricks with light joints
The roll comes in one colour only: bricks in shades of red and brown, with light grey joints, as in the photos. The effect is purely visual: it is a PVC film, not brick cladding, and the supplier gives no raised relief. On screen the colours may look a little different from reality.
If you need several rolls for the same wall, order them together: the supplier advises buying everything you need at once, so the rolls come from the same batch and the shades match.
Where to use brick effect wallpaper
The supplier suggests it for walls, furniture, drawers, panels, bookcases, wardrobe shelves, shelving, windows and larders. Among the surfaces it cites are painted walls, smooth walls, tiled walls and furniture doors. The photos show the pattern behind a chair with a table, and behind a white cabinet with an old radio: a background wall in a corner of a home or a shop.
You do not need to cover the whole room: one wall or a recess is enough to give a space character. The supplier gives no information on heat, so do not fit it near hobs, stoves or fireplaces.

Frequently asked questions
How many rolls do I need for one wall?
The roll is 45 cm wide, so you need several strips placed side by side. For a wall 2.5 m high, one 5 m roll gives two strips and covers about 90 cm of width. For a wall 3 m wide you need around 7 strips, that is four 5 m rolls. Add a few centimetres for cutting.
Does the surface have relief like a real brick?
The supplier gives no relief and does not state the thickness. The paper is presented as self-adhesive PVC with a pattern that imitates bricks, so think of it as a visual effect. The photos show the brick pattern and light joints, not marked relief.
How do I line up the bricks between two strips?
Use a spirit level for the first strip, so the rows are level. Place the second strip edge to edge, moving it up or down until the joints match, and only then press it down. Peel the paper off gradually and push the air out from the centre to the edges.
Can it be applied to a rough or damp wall?
The supplier specifies smooth, clean and dry surfaces and advises against rough, uneven, damp, holed or bumpy walls. The adhesive grips less well on textured render or exposed stone. If the wall is painted and smooth, clean and dry it well before applying.
Can it be removed without damaging the wall?
We cannot guarantee it. The adhesive is designed to stay and, when peeled off, may take some paint or leave residue, especially on walls painted recently. If you want an idea of the result, test a small corner first before covering the whole wall.
