Wood effect vinyl wrap: sizes and material
Each pack contains one roll 40 cm wide, of the length you choose. The material stated by the supplier is PVC. This is the area each size covers, not counting trimming:
- 40 × 100 cm: 0.40 m²
- 40 × 300 cm: 1.20 m²
- 40 × 500 cm: 2.00 m²
The 40 cm width suits narrow doors and sides, drawers, shelves and bedside tables. For a wider door, lay two strips side by side: follow the grain direction so the join shows less. The supplier does not state the thickness, so we do not include it. If you need to cover a whole wardrobe, order all the metres at once to limit shade differences between rolls.
How to fit the vinyl on wardrobes, doors and worktops
First clean and degrease the surface and let it dry: the adhesive grips better on a smooth surface without dust. If you can, remove handles and knobs. Measure the door and cut the vinyl, leaving 2-3 cm extra on each side. Peel back a few centimetres of the backing, line up the top edge and lay the vinyl down slowly, pressing the air outwards with a soft spatula from the centre. At the corners, as on the edge of the desk in the photo, fold the vinyl over the side and trim the excess with a craft knife. If you use it on a painted wall, note that when you peel it off it may take some paint with it.
Light grey beige wood: the effect on doors and drawers
The vinyl has one finish: a light grey beige wood effect, reminiscent of whitewashed oak, with fine, straight grain. It is not real wood: it is PVC that reproduces its look. In the kitchen photo you see it on the doors, the drawers and the worktop; on the roll, at the end, the white back of the protective paper shows. On a dark piece of furniture the change is clear: the surface becomes light and even. The shade may look different from one photo to another, because of the light and the screen; on the bedroom wall, for example, it looks a little darker.
Where to use the wood effect vinyl wrap
As well as the kitchen, the photos show it on a desk top and on the wall behind a bed. The supplier recommends it for furniture, walls, tiles, fridges, switches and windows. It is a way to renew a wardrobe, bedside table or chest of drawers without repainting them. For a wall you need several strips side by side: a wall 2 m wide and up to 2.90 m high needs 5 strips, that is 5 rolls of 300 cm. It works best on flat, smooth surfaces; mouldings and carved relief need more patience and a few more cuts.

Frequently asked questions
How many rolls do I need for a wardrobe?
It depends on the size of the doors. A door 35 cm wide and 200 cm high is covered by one strip of about 205 cm, margin included: with the 500 cm roll you can cover two identical doors and there is a 90 cm piece left for a drawer. If the door is wider than 40 cm, you need two strips joined for each door.
Can it be used in the kitchen?
On doors and drawers, yes, as in the photos. We advise against areas near the hobs and the cooker hood, where heat reaches, and areas that are always wet, such as the edge of the sink: heat and steam can lift the edges of any adhesive vinyl. On the worktop, do not place hot pans.
How do I clean it?
With a soft cloth that is only slightly damp and, if needed, a drop of neutral detergent; then dry it. Avoid abrasive scourers, solvents and harsh products, which can dull or mark the surface. On worktops, dry spilt liquids straight away, especially along the edges and the joins between two strips.
Can it be peeled off without damaging the furniture?
To remove it, pull slowly, keeping the vinyl almost parallel to the surface; a hair dryer on a low setting softens the adhesive. On untreated wood, recent paint or painted walls, some finish may come away or residue may stay. If in doubt, first test with an offcut in a hidden corner.
When will my order arrive?
