Matte furniture vinyl for doors: size and material
The vinyl is PVC, with a matte finish and a plain colour. The thickness, which appears in one of the supplier's photos, is 0.28 mm. The roll is 40 cm or 55 cm wide. The 40 cm rolls come in 1, 2, 3 or 5 m lengths, and the 55 cm rolls in 2 or 3 m.
A 40 cm × 5 m roll covers 2 m² and a 55 cm × 3 m roll covers 1.65 m². Measure the area before ordering and choose a size a few centimetres larger, so you can trim the edges at the end. The back has a printed grid that helps you cut in a straight line.
How to apply self-adhesive vinyl
Choose a surface that is smooth, flat, dry and free of dust: the supplier warns that on an uneven base the vinyl can lift. The steps are these: measure and cut the vinyl, peel the liner from one corner without touching the adhesive, line up and lay it down calmly, and keep peeling the liner little by little while you smooth out bubbles with a spatula. Do not remove all the liner at once.
If a bubble remains, you can pierce it with a needle. In cold conditions, a hairdryer helps the adhesion. An honest tip: an adhesive can take some varnish with it when peeled off.
Six matte colours: choose the shade for your furniture
The colours are dark grey, black, night green, white, light grey and mocha green. In the photos, night green is a dark green leaning towards olive, and mocha green is a light green similar to sage: it is not brown, despite the name. The supplier's photos do not show the colour names, so the match is based on the shade you see.
The colour can look different on screen and from one batch to another: the supplier advises buying all the rolls together. On a dark or marked base, a light colour can show up the flaws: test first in a corner.
Where to use furniture vinyl
The supplier recommends it for cupboards, tables, drawers, shelving and shelves, in living rooms, bedrooms, studies, kitchens and children's rooms. The photos show it on kitchen doors, a cupboard, a chest of drawers and the top of a desk.
The supplier gives no information on how it handles heat or water, so be careful near burners and the sink. Avoid rough, dirty or uneven surfaces.

Frequently asked questions
How much vinyl do I need for a door?
Measure the height and width of the door and choose a roll a few centimetres larger, so you can trim the edges after fitting. A 40 cm × 1 m roll covers 0.4 m², a 40 cm × 3 m roll covers 1.2 m², and a 55 cm × 2 m roll covers 1.1 m². For several doors of the same colour, order everything together to avoid batch differences.
Can it be applied to a rough surface?
It is better to avoid it. The supplier advises a smooth, flat, dry surface free of dust and dirt: on a rough or uneven base the vinyl can lift. Clean it well before applying, and if you are unsure about the surface, test a discreet corner before covering everything.
How do I remove air bubbles?
Peel off the protective liner little by little and smooth with a spatula, pushing the air towards the edges. If a bubble remains, the supplier suggests piercing it with a needle and pressing. In cold conditions, a hairdryer helps the vinyl stick better. Do not remove all the liner at once.
Is the colour the same as in the photo?
It may look a little different: it depends on the screen and the light, and rolls from different batches may have small differences in shade, so it is best to order together. Note the names: night green is a dark green, and mocha green in the photos is a light green similar to sage, not a brown.
Can it be removed without damaging the furniture?
The supplier describes it as removable, but gives no information on residue or on how many times it can be repositioned. Like any adhesive, it can take some varnish with it when peeled off, or leave residue, especially on recently varnished surfaces. Test in a hidden corner before covering a whole piece of furniture.
