Acoustic corner panel: size and material
Each panel measures 18 × 18 × 30 cm: the two 18 cm sides go against the walls, and the length is 30 cm. From the photos, the shape is a triangular prism, with the sloping stepped face towards the room. The colour is black. The material is acoustic foam: the supplier does not give the type of polymer and only states high density, with no value. Laid in a row along the corner, 2 panels cover 60 cm in length, 4 panels cover 1.2 m and 12 panels cover 3.6 m. The weight is not stated.
How to fit the acoustic corner panel
The supplier does not include or describe a fixing system. The panel rests in the corner, with its two 18 cm sides against the walls, or between a wall and the ceiling. To keep it in place, you can use double-sided tape suitable for foam: test a small offcut first, as some adhesives damage foam. The supplier warns that the foam is packed compressed and may arrive thin and creased. Leave it to air for a few days, and it will regain its shape, according to the supplier. Strong double-sided tape can take some paint with it when peeled off.
2, 4 or 12 pieces: which pack to choose
The colour is only black, and the density is high in all versions: only the number of pieces changes. With 2 pieces you cover 60 cm of corner, with 4 pieces 1.2 m, and with 12 pieces 3.6 m. For example, a 2.4 m high corner needs 8 panels in a row: with the 12-piece pack you have 4 spare. Two corners of 2.4 m need 16 panels, that is, the 12-piece pack plus the 4-piece pack. The supplier does not state how many panels a room needs, so measure the corners you want to cover before choosing.
Where to use the acoustic corner panel
This panel is fitted in corners, where sound bounces between the walls and builds up. The supplier recommends it, among other uses, for meeting rooms. In a room with many hard surfaces, such as a home office, a living room or an empty room, a foam panel absorbs some of these reflections and reduces echo. An important point: an acoustic panel reduces echo inside the room, but it does not stop noise from neighbours or from the street. That problem requires other materials and building work. It is not a sheet to apply across the whole wall: it is a module for fitting in the corner.

Frequently asked questions
How many panels do I need for a corner?
Each panel is 30 cm long, so you need about 3 per metre of corner. For a corner 2.4 m high you need 8 panels, and for one 2.5 m high, about 9. If you also want to cover the corner between the wall and the ceiling, count more panels according to the length. The 12-piece pack covers 3.6 m in total.
Why can the panel arrive flattened?
For reasons of volume and quantity, the supplier sends the foam in a compressed pack, so the panel may arrive thin and creased. According to the supplier, leaving it out for a few days is enough to restore its shape. Open it as soon as it arrives, and do not leave it folded or squashed under other objects.
Does it resist fire?
The supplier mentions fire resistance, but gives no certificates or test results, so we cannot guarantee it. Treat the foam as a material that can burn: keep it away from flames, heaters and other heat sources, and do not use it behind appliances that give off heat.
Does it stop noise from neighbours?
No. It is an acoustic panel: it reduces echo by absorbing some of the sound reflections inside the room, but it does not stop noise from outside. Acting on a wall requires other materials and building work. The supplier provides no verifiable absorption figures, so we do not give any.
How do I fix it to the corner?
The pack includes no fixings, and the supplier does not describe how to mount it. It can rest in the corner or be fixed with double-sided tape suitable for foam. Test first on an offcut, as some adhesives damage foam, and remember that a strong adhesive can take some paint with it when peeled off.
