Wood effect vinyl wrap, 40 cm: size and material
Each roll is 40 cm wide and 1, 3, 5 or 10 metres long. The covered area is 0.4 m² with 1 metre, 1.2 m² with 3 metres, 2 m² with 5 metres and 4 m² with 10 metres. The material is PVC, printed with the grain pattern. The supplier does not state the thickness, so we do not give one.
To choose the length, start from the area you want to cover. A 120 × 60 cm desk is covered with two 120 cm strips side by side: 3 metres is enough, with a little left for trimming. For a 40 × 70 cm cupboard door, one metre is enough. Always allow a few centimetres extra, because the edges are trimmed at the end.
How to apply the self-adhesive vinyl to furniture
The supplier indicates a clean, dry and smooth surface. Degrease the board, measure, cut the strip a little larger, and peel back the protective liner only a few centimetres: the supplier warns that you should not remove all of it at once. Place the edge, keep removing the back and press with a soft cloth or a spatula from the centre towards the sides to push out bubbles.
Leave about 2.5 cm of margin on each side, so you can adjust the position and trim with a craft knife. An honest tip: a strong adhesive can take varnish or veneer with it when peeled off. Test first in a hidden spot, and do not apply it to surfaces that get very hot, such as a hob or the edge of a burner.
Seven wood effect designs: colours and grain
In the supplier's photos, each design is shown on a worktop with a sink and in a box showing the roll. You can choose from:
- Model 1: intense reddish brown
- Model 2: light grey
- Model 3: greyish white with strong grain
- Model 4: orange-brown
- Model 5: golden brown with knots
- Model 6: whitish grey with fine grain
- Model 7: light natural wood effect
The colour may change slightly with light and screens. If you need several rolls, order them together: they are more likely to come from the same batch and the tone will stay even.
Where to use self-adhesive wood effect vinyl
The photos show it on a worktop with a sink, on kitchen doors, on a desk, on a cupboard and on other flat surfaces. It is a practical way to refresh a piece of furniture without replacing it, for example a desk with scratches or the doors of a cupboard.
It works on smooth surfaces: on a rough, porous or deeply embossed surface the adhesive grips less. Use it where you can clean the base before applying, and where the 40 cm roll fits the measurement: for wider surfaces you will need to join several strips.

Frequently asked questions
How much vinyl do I need for a worktop or a cupboard door?
Measure the area, and remember the roll is 40 cm wide. For a 60 cm deep worktop, two strips side by side are needed; for a 120 cm long desk, you will need 2.4 m of roll, plus a few centimetres for trimming. For a 40 × 70 cm door, one 75 cm piece is enough.
Which surfaces can it be applied to?
The supplier indicates clean, dry and smooth surfaces; lacquered doors, melamine boards and glass are examples of smooth surfaces. On a rough, porous or embossed surface the adhesive grips less. If you are unsure, test a small piece in a hidden spot before cutting the whole strip.
Can it be removed without damaging the furniture?
We cannot guarantee it. A strong adhesive can take some varnish or veneer with it when peeled off, especially on recently varnished surfaces. Start from one corner and pull slowly; if the furniture is valuable, test first in a hidden spot.
Why might the colour in person differ from the photo?
Light, the screen and the production batch all slightly change the tone. The supplier advises ordering all the rolls you need together, so they are more likely to come from the same batch. If the tone matters to you, write to us before ordering and we will help you choose the model.
How do I cut the strips and avoid bubbles?
Cut with a sharp craft knife and a metal ruler. Peel off the protective liner a few centimetres at a time and press from the centre towards the edges with a soft cloth or spatula. The supplier warns that the roll may arrive with some creases caused by the packaging.
When will my order arrive?
Delivery takes 7 to 15 business days after payment; you receive the tracking number by email. The maximum delivery time is 15 business days: if it is not met, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.
Can I return the product?
Yes: you have 30 days from delivery to return the unused product in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. All the details are in the return policy.
How can I pay?
You pay the full amount when you order, with the payment methods offered at checkout. We do not offer instalments or cash on delivery.
