A roll of flexible self-adhesive moulding, made of plastic, with the adhesive already on the back: it works for creating frames on walls or finishing edges on furniture and doors. You can choose black or white, in widths of 23, 27, 32 or 40 mm and lengths of 1 m or 3 m. You apply it without screws or glue to a smooth, clean and dry surface, after peeling off the red film on the back. Each item is a single roll.

Flexible self-adhesive moulding: dimensions and material

Each item is one roll of moulding. The width can be 23, 27, 32 or 40 mm and the length 1 m or 3 m, depending on the version: the 3 m lengths only exist for the 23 and 40 mm widths. The profile changes with the width: in the supplier's photos the 40 mm one is stepped and 16 mm high, the 23 mm one is lower (9 mm) and the 27 mm one is rounded; for the 32 mm the height cannot be read. The material is plastic, and the supplier does not specify the type. For a frame of 50 × 70 cm you need 240 cm of moulding, that is one 3 m roll in the 23 or 40 mm width.

How to apply self-adhesive moulding

The back has an adhesive protected by a red film: as the photo shows, you peel it off slowly while pressing the moulding against the wall. First, clean and dry the surface. Then use a spirit level to mark the sides of the frame and start at one corner, pressing with the palm of your hand. For the corners you can cut two pieces at 45° with a craft knife and a ruler, or bend the moulding if the profile allows it: test on an offcut. An honest tip: a strong adhesive may take some paint with it when peeled off, so test in a hidden corner first.

Black or white, 23 to 40 mm: how to choose the moulding

The 12 variants combine two colours and four widths; the 27 and 32 mm widths are sold only in 1 m. The width decides the effect: the 23 mm gives a fine line, the 40 mm a frame that stands out. The photo shows the white 40 mm profile; the black 40 mm is in another image. White blends in with light walls, as in the lifestyle photos, while black makes the frame stand out. If you need more than one roll, choose the same width and colour. The real colour may differ slightly on your screen.

Where to use self-adhesive moulding

The supplier suggests it for walls, furniture and cupboards. The lifestyle photos show walls with white raised frames, in a boiserie style, in a living room and around a television. At home you can use it to frame a mirror, a picture or a wardrobe door. On furniture, choose a narrow version and check that the surface is smooth, clean and degreased. It does not hide imperfections: it follows the surface you stick it to. We have no verified data on how it behaves with water or heat, so avoid wet areas and hobs.

Frequently asked questions

How much moulding do I need for a frame?

Work out the perimeter: for a 50 × 70 cm rectangle it is 2 × (50 + 70) = 240 cm, so one 3 m roll, available in the 23 and 40 mm widths. For a 40 × 40 cm frame, 160 cm is enough, that is two 1 m rolls. Add a few centimetres for corner cuts and possible mistakes.

Can it be cut and bent?

The supplier describes it as flexible, and in the photos the roll bends back on itself. To cut it, use a sharp craft knife or strong scissors and a ruler; for corners you can cut two pieces at 45°. The supplier gives no minimum bend radius: test on an offcut.

Does it come off without damaging the wall?

The adhesive is made to stay put and the supplier does not explain how to remove it: on recently painted or poorly bonded paint, some colour may come off. Test first in a hidden corner and leave it a few days. If you want to be able to move it, stick the moulding onto a thin board and fix that board.

What is the difference between 23, 27, 32 and 40 mm?

They differ in width and shape: the 40 mm has a stepped profile 16 mm high, the 23 mm a lower one of 9 mm, and the 27 mm a rounded profile. We do not have the height for the 32 mm. The wider it is, the more the frame shows: the 23 mm suits a fine line.

When will my order arrive?

Delivery takes 7 to 15 business days after payment; you receive the tracking number by email. The maximum delivery time is 15 business days: if it is not met, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.

Can I return the product?

Yes: you have 30 days from delivery to return the unused product in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. All the details are in the return policy.
