Silver mirror letter stickers: dimensions and material

Each letter is 20 cm tall and made of two parts: the silver acrylic, which has a protective film on its surface, and the black foam base, 1 cm thick. The acrylic also has a thickness, which the supplier does not state. The stated weight is 55 g, without specifying for which letter.

The width depends on the letter. The letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, L, N, T, V, X, Y and Z are 18 cm. The others: I 8.5 cm, J 10 cm, S 13 cm, P 14 cm, O 15 cm, R and U 16 cm, Q 17 cm, M 20 cm and W 25 cm. For the heart the supplier gives only 20 cm, without the width.

How to fix the letter stickers

The supplier describes the letter as two parts to be joined. Remove the film from the surface of the acrylic: it is needed for the mirror effect to show. Then peel off the backing paper from the back of the acrylic and join it to the black foam. The foam has adhesive on the back: remove the protective layer and press the letter against the wall.

Before sticking, clean and dry the surface, test the arrangement on the floor and mark the positions with a pencil and a spirit level. A candid tip: strong adhesive can take some paint off when removed, so avoid freshly painted walls.

One colour: the silver mirror acrylic effect

All the letters are silver with a mirror effect, and the black edge of the foam is visible from the side. There is no colour choice: the options are the letters A to Z and a heart. The typeface has serifs, as seen in the photos.

The mirror reflects what is in front of it, which is why the same letter looks different in the photos depending on the light. You can spell words in any language, for example LOVE or HOME as in the photos, repeating the same letter where needed. Up close you can see the dark edge of the foam, which separates the letter from the wall and gives it a little depth.
